Kivolio
Private preview

Every bill and every document, gathered before the quarter closes.

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax turns one annual scramble into four. Kivolio does not file anything to HMRC. It makes sure that when the quarter closes, every receipt and every statement is already in one place, and your accountant can have them in one pack.

MTD does not require Kivolio. A shoebox once a quarter is compliant.

What MTD changes is the cadence. The receipts that used to be found once, in the run-up to January, now have to be found four times a year, and each time the gap between the expense and the search is shorter. The shoebox still works. It is just opened four times as often, and it still has no bank statements in it.

What is already done when the quarter closes.

01

The mailbox has been swept

Gmail or Outlook, through their APIs. The coverage bar shows what was read and what was not; a gap is one click to backfill.

02

Paper was captured on the day

A phone photo is read on the phone before the form opens, and pinned where it was taken. The tradesman's receipt is filed before you leave the property.

03

Statements are on the other shelf

Bank statements, tenancy agreements, insurance and letting-agent letters are filed as documents, next to the bills but out of the money pipeline.

04

One pack per quarter

A ZIP for the date range with readable filenames, an index.csv and a cover sheet. It remembers what it contained, so nothing goes to your accountant twice.

What Kivolio is not.

It is not MTD-compatible software. It does not file quarterly updates or anything else to HMRC, and there is no HMRC connection in it.

It is the place the records are gathered so that whoever does file, you or your accountant, starts with everything rather than a search.

Your records are yours: never training data, exportable whole, and the privacy policy names every outside call we make.
